I have to admit that I don't leave comments or review products on line that often, however I feel I have to comment on the Emjoi MICRO pedi.
Having looked at some of the reviews (some negative) I decided to invest my hard earned money on this product. I have tried many different products, applications and chiropodists with limited success.
I have to admit that from the first use of this machine I was impressed. The unit is easy to set up (you will need to buy 2 AA batteries as they are not included) . The instruction book is in several languages, but easy to understand with plenty of diagrams to show you what to do.
The unit comes with an extra coarse (blue) roller fitted in the unit and a spare coarse (pink) roller in the box, and changing these is a very simple process. The unit fits easily in your hand and the overall size of the unit allows easy movement and reach around your feet (if you can pass your hand around your feet then the unit will reach slightly further)
The result of my first use with the blue roller is extremely good (only took about 5 minutes for both feet). The unit removed a large amount of hard skin from around the heel, ball and outside edge of my feet. It also reduced the hard skin on a persistent corn on one of my toes without discomfort or pain. The unit, whilst very tough on the hard skin, is gentle and causes no discomfort (it feels almost the same as if you ran your hand over your feet). I would stress however that (just like any other appliance) you read and fully understand the instructions before use.
I would recommend this unit without hesistation, although the initial cost seems high, just think of the savings you will make not having the same procedure from a chiropodist ( at least £20 a visit) .
As this is the first time I have used this unit, I cannot comment on the life of the rolller before needing a replacement, I can say that both my wife and I have used the same roller ( you can give the roller a quick rinse in water and dry it off between uses) and noticed no deterioration in performance so far.
Overall this is a well built, efficient unit.which to coin a phrase "does exactly what it says on the box". I hope this review is helpful.
